Why I Chose Calendula
Calendula has been used in skin care for centuries, valued for being gentle and soothing — the kind of ingredient that works quietly rather than making a big claim about itself.
That's exactly why I wanted it in this bar. A wash shouldn't feel complicated. It should just feel good.
I infuse dried calendula petals into oil myself, letting it sit for four weeks so the oil can properly draw out what the flower has to offer. It's a slow process, done the same way every time, so what you get in the bar is consistent, batch after batch.
Once the infused oil is ready, I bring in shea butter — rich and deeply moisturizing, gentle enough for everyday use. Together, they make a bar that's calm, simple, and easy to build into a daily routine.
Well suited to dry or easily irritated skin — calendula and shea are both known for being gentle, so this bar tends to work well for anyone who finds most soaps a little too drying.
Small batches, hand-poured, cured for several weeks before they're ready. Then wrapped by hand, one at a time.
If that sounds like your kind of everyday soap, I'd love for you to try it.
